Welcome
The excitement has begun once again with the start of the 2007/2008 season.
After the expansion of PCYC Boxing in 2007 there are now a record number of competitions being held in PCYC clubs across NSW this season.
PCYC Boxing provides a friendly yet competitive environment for young people to learn, exercise, practice and if they choose, compete.
We cater for both men & women, boys and girls, and offer a variety of boxing and boxing-related activities. Age restrictions apply for some activities.
PCYC Boxing has been rebuilding over the last 4 years and now with
the new boxing committee, the addition of trainers and Denai Smith to
the team we believe we are well on the way to have success at Olympic
level.
We have had our best results that can be recalled, and this is due to
the fact that PCYC Boxing is working as one. Trainers and boxers are
supporting the PCYC tournaments and PCYC Boxing has structure and direction,
hence working as a team!!
Over the next 12 months PCYC Boxing will be focusing on developing a
junior boxing program aimed at 10 - 16 yr olds. We will be holding more
development camps and selecting squads to tour interstate and overseas.
Next year we will also be launching PCYC Boxing for Fitness. Our aim
is to get more young members introduced to boxing through a fitness
program which then will hopefully produce more boxers.
