CLUB OF THE YEAR
This Award recognises outstanding
achievement by a Club across the range of youth
development and crime prevention activities and
programs and in the management of its resources.
Key elements for assessment include:
number of young members, number of volunteers,
range of activities, Police Programs and PASS
results, quality of facility management, and financial
performance.
CLUB ACHIEVEMENT OF THE YEAR
This Award recognises significant
improvement or innovation by a Club.
Key elements for assessment include:
significant improvement in financial performance,
membership or volunteers and innovation in activities
or community linkage, especially where the Club
has seen improvement or innovation against previous
resource constraints.
YOUNG PERSON OF THE YEAR
This Award recognises outstanding
achievement by a young Club Member in sporting,
cultural, community or general Club activities
in 2004.
Key elements for assessment include:
contribution to PCYC ideals, advancement of youth
issues in the Club or community, achievement in
his/her chosen sporting, cultural, or community
activities, representation of the Club, PCYC or
local community in his/her chosen activities.
VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
This Award recognises outstanding
contribution to PCYC by a Volunteer.
Key elements for assessment include:
contribution to PCYC ideals, level of involvement
in Club activities, contribution to inter-club
or PCYC wide activities, advancement of Club profile
in the community.
PROGRAM EXCELLENCE
This Award recognises outstanding
contribution to juvenile crime prevention within
the Police Command and PCYC.
Key elements for assessment include:
integration of crime prevention and youth development
in program design, diversity of program approaches,
innovation, and measured outcomes. The program(s)
must have been put in place in the last two years
and not been a previous Award recipient.
This Award is made by the Commissioner
on the recommendation of the Commander
LIFE GOVERNOR, LIFE GOVERNOR
(Club), LIFE MEMBER (Club) & DEDICATED SERVICE
AWARDS
These Awards recognise continuous
commitment and contribution to PCYC by individual
Club Members.
Criteria for Awards:
Life Governor - Outstanding
service to PCYC over a number of years. Awarded
to only two individuals, male and female, annually.
Dedicated Service - Five
years of continuous Club service, recommended
by 75% of Club Council, approved by State Office
Life Member - Fifteen years
of service to PCYC, recommended by 75% of Club
Council or by the PCYC Board, approved by the
Board (may be applied to staff and Police Officers)
Life Governor (Club) - Fifteen
years of continuous and meritorious service in
a volunteer role, recommended by 75% of Club Council,
approved by the Board.
