Breakfast Club

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, the Breakfast club is held at the club.

This program is run in conjunction with the local Primary Schools, DoCS and Family Suport. Children with poor nutrition and low school attendance records are picked up by staff and volunteers of the PCYC brought to the club and given a hot breakfast, for those requiring it their lunches are provided and they are then taken to the respective schools. A marked increase in attendance of up to 60% has been shown with the children on the program.

This program is by referral only.



 

 Thursday Kidz Club

Program On Thursday afternoons, children from domestic violence situations or those recommended by their school are collected from home and brought to the club. We have a group of enthusiastic Teacher Education students from Charles Sturt University who assist them with homework and give help with reading where required. The childrren help prepare an evening meal learning some basic life skills as well. Some recreational activities are also carried out before the children are returned home.

 

Driver Education Program

The Traffic Education Program as it is officially known, is run for those drivers in trouble with the Police for serious driving offences such as DUI or suspension for speeding offences. A series of lectures are held with an asignment to be completed prior to a report being submitted to the Court. Bookings are required for this course cost $110.00
